The Shepherd

Weeping on a starless night
An angel flew to hold me tight
Bathed within her arms of light
My heart was soothed and burning bright

Before the Ministries of Love
I felt the softness of that Dove
Whose waters flow to heal the Earth
With gentle winds of sweet rebirth

The flock descends to guide the sheep
To rouse us from our weary sleep
To meet the Shepherd on his Throne
Anointing love to lead us home

Although often depicted as the Universal Soul, she is also witnessed in the role of the Logos as the deliverer of grace and the redeemer of souls. She may also characterize the divine essence itself as the uncreated womb of the illimitable Night, the primordial root of all being and sole ground of existence. Objectively neither while encompassing both, the Deity may be subjec...
